Privacy Policy

What we collect when you shop with us, why we collect it, and what we do with it. Last updated 29 August 2026.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Keshav Achaar, F-93, West Vinod Nagar, New Delhi 110092. We are the data fiduciary responsible for the personal data described in this policy.

2. What we collect

When you place an order we collect your name, delivery address, billing address, email address and phone number. We also keep a record of what you ordered, when, and how much you paid.

If you create an account, we store your login details and any addresses you save. Passwords are stored in encrypted form and we cannot read them.

If you contact us through the form on our Contact page, we collect your name, email address and the message you send.

We automatically collect technical information when you browse, including your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you visit and how you arrived at our site.

3. Why we collect it

To process your order, take payment, deliver your parcel, and contact you about that order.

To handle returns, replacements, refunds and customer support requests.

To meet our legal obligations, including tax and GST record keeping.

To understand how our website is used, so we can improve it.

To send you marketing messages, where you have agreed to receive them.

4. Payment information

Payments are processed by Razorpay. When you pay, your card, UPI or net banking details are collected directly by Razorpay on their secure systems.

We never see, receive or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or banking passwords. We only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed, along with a transaction reference.

Razorpay handles that data under its own privacy policy, which we recommend you read.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies to keep your shopping cart working, to keep you logged in, and to remember your preferences. These are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off.

We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console to understand how people find and use our website. These tools tell us which pages are popular and where visitors come from. They collect data in aggregate and we do not use them to identify individual customers.

We use the Meta Pixel to measure the performance of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram, and to show our ads to people who have visited our website. Meta processes that data under its own privacy policy.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you block necessary cookies, the cart and checkout will not work correctly.

6. Marketing messages

With your consent, we may send you emails and WhatsApp messages about new pickles, seasonal batches and offers.

You can opt out at any time. Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email, reply STOP to a WhatsApp message, or email support@keshavachaar.com and ask to be removed.

Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages. We will still send order confirmations, dispatch notifications and delivery updates, because you need those to receive your order.

7. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

We share what is necessary with our courier partner, currently Delhivery, so that they can deliver your parcel. This includes your name, address and phone number.

We share order and payment details with Razorpay in order to process your payment.

We share data with our website hosting provider and email service provider, who store it on our behalf.

We may disclose data where we are required to do so by law, by a court, or by a government authority.

8. How long we keep it

We keep order records for 8 years, as required under Indian tax and company law.

Account details are kept until you ask us to delete your account. Contact form messages are kept for 2 years. Marketing consent records are kept until you opt out, and for a short period afterwards to prove that we honoured your request.

9. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to ask us what personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have your data erased where we are not legally required to keep it, to withdraw consent you previously gave, and to nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@keshavachaar.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act, so that we do not disclose your data to someone else.

10. Security

This website runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Access to customer data is limited to the people in our team who need it to do their job.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs that affects your personal data, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law.

11. Children

Our website is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Grievance Officer

If you have a complaint about how we handle your personal data, you can contact our Grievance Officer.
